Morten Borup Petersen

Morten Borup Petersen is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, where they work on hardware compilers, MLIR, and FPGA tooling. Previously, they held various roles including Software Engineer II at Microsoft, where they focused on FPGA-based hardware acceleration, and as an Intern Compiler Engineer at Xilinx, contributing to High-Level Synthesis flows in CIRCT. Morten earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Engineering from EPFL and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from DTU. Their main interests lie in compiler development, computer architecture, and digital system design in the context of reconfigurable computing.
