Nan Ma is a skilled software engineer and puzzle solver with extensive experience in data engineering. They currently lead a data engineering team at Microsoft, focusing on developing a web application that enables users to query and transfer data from over 1,000 databases. Previously, Nan worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley, where they developed efficient algorithms for DNA sequence compression. They are also recognized as one of the only three solvers in the world of the seven-dimensional Rubik’s Cube and have lectured on algorithm construction for puzzles. Nan holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boston University.
