Nan Li is currently a Partner Applied Science Manager at Microsoft. They previously held the position of Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft from 2020 to 2025 and served as a Senior Engineer at Alibaba Group from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, Nan was the Director of the Department of Computational Sciences at Soochow University (2013-2015) and an Assistant Professor there from 2008 to 2015. They also gained research experience as a Visiting Research Fellow at IBM China Research Lab and TELECOM SudParis, conducting work on GPS traces and machine learning. Nan earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Machine Learning from Nanjing University and a Bachelor of Science in Computational Mathematics from Soochow University.
