Paras Kumar is a Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft, currently leading efforts to secure data in Microsoft Fabric OneLake and overseeing the development of the Spark Hive Metastore. Paras previously served as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to Azure Data Factory and Windows Remote Desktop, and held roles that involved designing and developing features across various Microsoft products. Paras earned a B.Tech in Information Technology from Amrita School of Engineering between 2004 and 2008.
