Qian Cai is a 1st-year Electrical Engineering graduate student at the University of Washington, specializing in hardware/system design, robotics, power electronics, and embedded firmware development. Previously, Qian served as the Hardware Team Lead at Husky Robotics, where they developed electronic hardware for a Mars rover, and held internships at O-Film Technology and Juniper Networks, focusing on embedded systems and hardware engineering. In addition to their academic pursuits, Qian has been involved as an Undergraduate Research Associate in the BioRobotics Lab at UW, optimizing a motorized surgical grasper. Qian holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Washington and is currently working as an Electrical Engineer in various projects including a capstone opportunity with Microsoft.
