Sida Peng is an experienced Research Economist currently serving as a Principal Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist at Microsoft. With a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University, which they earned between 2012 and 2017, Sida has a strong foundation in Statistics, Matlab, Python, Microsoft Excel, and Stata. Prior to their current role, they held positions as a Senior Principal Economist and Senior Economist at Microsoft, contributing significantly to the computer software industry. Sida also completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Virginia, graduating with honors in 2011.
