Spencer Williams

Spencer Williams is a Principal Hardware Engineer at Microsoft, where they focus on hardware design for the custom AI accelerator Azure Maia. Previously, Spencer served as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Microsoft, working on the design of a custom CPU's Instruction Fetch Unit, and held positions at Qualcomm, including Staff Engineer, where they contributed to the ARMv8 Snapdragon/Centriq CPU. Spencer earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, both from North Carolina State University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in each program.
