Thomas Wong

Thomas Wong is currently a Legal Counsel at Microsoft, where they have worked since 2004, managing patent portfolios related to Microsoft’s M365 products. They previously served as an attorney at Lee and Hayes and Merchant & Gould, focusing on patent and trademark applications, as well as IP licensing agreements. Additionally, Thomas was a propulsion engineer at Boeing and a mechanical engineer at General Motors early in their career. Thomas has held various leadership roles, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Washington State Patent Law Association and as Co-Chair of the CLE Committee for the Federal Bar Association Western District of Washington. They hold a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, and a JD from the University of Washington School of Law.
