Tian Wang is a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft, specializing in digital signal processing, speech coding, voice codec design, and VoIP. Previously, they served as a Manager of DSP Implementation at SignalCom, where they designed a voice codec that became the NATO standard known as STANAG 4591. At Microsoft, Tian led the development of the Windows Media Voice v9 codec and developed real-time voice codecs used across various Microsoft products. They also held leadership roles at Huawei Technologies, including serving as the Chief Scientist in the Media Lab.
