Vadim Smolyakov

Vadim Smolyakov is a Machine Learning Engineer II at Microsoft since June 2019, contributing to the Copilot AI for Business and Industry team through performance benchmarking, run-time optimizations, and model onboarding, utilizing a technology stack that includes Triton and TensorRT-LLM. Previously, Vadim served as a Data Scientist II within the Azure Edge and Platform Team, leading AI product development and intern mentorship. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and data science positions at Rue Gilt Groupe and Shopify. Vadim holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from MIT, along with a Master of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
