Xu Liu

Xu Liu is a Senior Applied Scientist in Robotics and AI at Microsoft, where they focus on research and development of Robotics Foundation Models and Vision-Language-Action Models within the Advanced Autonomy & Applied Robotics team. Previously, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University, conducting research on visuomotor policies and foundation models for robotic manipulation. Xu also spent several years as a Graduate Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, where they explored metric-semantic SLAM, autonomous aerial navigation, and active perception.
