Vignesh Sankaran

Vignesh Sankaran is the Director of Engineering at Microvast, where they are responsible for the project oversight of a large, fully integrated battery manufacturing facility. With over 20 years of experience in managing capital projects and leading engineering teams across diverse industries including Metals, Chemicals, and Clean Energy, Vignesh has played a pivotal role in the design and execution of manufacturing facilities for batteries and battery materials. Prior to joining Microvast in 2023, Vignesh worked as an Engineering Manager at Albemarle Corporation and held leadership positions at Ashland Inc and Allied Engineering and Design. Vignesh earned a BEng in Computer Engineering from the University of Pretoria, a Master’s in Business Administration from Villanova University, and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
