Oriol Rius

Oriol Rius has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Oriol is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Microwd Inversiones and a Finance & IR Committee Member. Oriol has also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Ada Impacto, a company focused on digital inclusion. In addition, Oriol has worked as a Venture Partner at ALAYA CAPITAL, a Network Development Manager at Latin America Impact Investing, and a Co-Founder at Vista Alta Management Solutions Inc.

Prior to these roles, Oriol had an extensive career at Santander Private Banking International, where they were the Head of Corporate Finance Solutions. Oriol also held the position of Managing Director at Banco Santander. Before joining Santander, Oriol worked at Merrill Lynch as the Director of Structured Clients Solutions for Latin America and at BBVA New York as the Head of Sales. Oriol has demonstrated expertise in corporate finance, investment banking, and sales throughout their career.

Oriol Rius has a Master's degree in International and Public Affairs from Columbia University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2006. Oriol also completed an Executive MPA program in International Public Affairs at Columbia | SIPA during the same period. Prior to that, they attended Universitat de Barcelona from 1984 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor's degree from the Business School. Oriol has additional certifications in "The Age of Sustainable Development" from Columbia University in the City of New York, and in Series 24, 79, and 63 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
