Amal Hamdan

Amal Hamdan is a Sudan researcher and transitional justice practitioner with extensive experience in electoral systems and governance. They are a published and award-winning consultant who has contributed to significant projects, including a $300,000 USAID-funded program to train Iraqi journalists. With a PhD focused on electoral system design and its effects on communal divisions, Amal has shared their research at prominent workshops and has taught at both Lebanese American University and King’s College London. Previously, Amal worked as a senior producer at Aljazeera, where they managed coverage of major world events, particularly in conflict zones. Currently, they serve as a senior trainer for political party program development at MICT while seeking opportunities to enhance democracy in post-conflict regions.
