Erik Paulson has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Erik started their career as a Research and Development Engineer at IVF/Swerea IVF in 1988. From there, they moved on to Jokab Safety in 1989, where they served as a Project Engineer responsible for Industrial Safety Systems. During their time at Jokab Safety, they played a key role in the company's growth and acquisition by ABB in 2010.
In 1994, Erik joined SCA - Hygiene and Forest Products Company as a Machine Project Leader and Process Developer. Erik was responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing technology for baby diapers, overseeing projects that included technical responsibility for four production lines at two sites. Erik later took on the position of Manager Machine Projects & Process Development, leading a team of up to 11 FTEs and focusing on product innovations and improving performance, quality, and capacity. Erik continued to take on more responsibilities within SCA, becoming the Technical Manager at the Falkenberg Factory, where they oversaw technical support, maintenance, facilities, and projects connected to product innovations and quality improvements. Later, as an International Business Project Manager in the Central PMO organization, Erik led supply and business projects for innovations and launches in Scandinavian and European markets, including the creation and start-up of a technical organization in a new SCA factory in Poland. Erik concluded their time at SCA as a Technology Manager for Baby, with strategic responsibility for all Baby Technologies and machines across 17 factories on four continents.
Erik joined Essity in 2012 as a Technology Area Director, undertaking a global role with strategic responsibility for Baby Open Technologies. Erik played a significant role in supporting business needs for innovation and manufacturing, contributing as an initiator, sponsor, or contributor to projects that enabled product generation shifts and innovations. These projects ranged in capital investment from low cost to 50M€.
Currently, Erik is working at Micvac as a Technology Director, a position they have held since 2020. Erik is instrumental in overseeing technology operations and making strategic decisions to drive the company's success.
