Candace Crane, MSW, has extensive experience in the field of community development, specifically in the areas of youth development and program management. Candace currently serves as the Vice President of Youth Development and Community Relations at Middlesex YMCA. Prior to this role, Candace worked as the Director of Community Impact at United Way of Central Jersey for four years. Candace also held the position of Executive Director at Middlesex County Long Term Recovery Group from December 2013 to October 2015, and as an Associate Director at the same organization from April 2013 to December 2013. Before that, Candace worked as the Camp Director at Kiddie Keep Well Camp, where they were responsible for staff management, collaboration with senior citizen agencies, and partnership with schools in Middlesex County. Candace also worked as a Program Director at Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA from 2005 to 2008, and at YMCA Camp Orkila from 2002 to 2005.

Candace Crane holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Rutgers University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Their field of study during this time was Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Leisure Services Administration from Central Michigan University, from 1996 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, Candace Crane is a Licensed Social Worker, having obtained the license from the State of New Jersey in August 2016. Candace also holds a certification in Disaster Response Crisis Counseling, which they obtained from the Mental Health Association of New Jersey in June 2015.
