Dan Durkin

Senior Engineer at Middough

Dan Durkin has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to engineering and planning. Dan started their career as an I&C Technician at American Technical Services in 1984 and then worked as an I&C Field Engineer at the same company from 1987 to 1988. In 1989, they joined Combustion Engineering as an I&C Start-up Engineer. From 1990 to 1993, they worked at Industrial Control Services as an I&C Engineer and also served as the President of the company. Durkin then joined BASF in 1993 as a Senior I&C Engineer, where they developed standards and policies for control-related hardware and software packages. Dan worked at BASF until 2002, during which they also served as an Electrical Controls Engineer at Bay Machinery from 2001 to 2002. Durkin then worked at DTE Energy - Fermi 2 from 2002 to 2007 as an I&C/Electrical Planner. From 2008 to 2014, they worked at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station as an Electrical/Project Planner and at URS, formerly Washington Group Intl., as a Modifications Planner. Dan is currently working at Middough Inc. as a Senior Engineer, a position they have held since 2014.

Dan Durkin completed their education history in a chronological manner. In 1978, they attended NHTI, Concord's Community College, where they obtained an ASEET degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, which they completed in 1980. From 1980 to 1983, they enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University to study Marketing but did not receive a degree. In 1981, they briefly attended the University of New Hampshire, focusing on Computer Science. Lastly, from 1987 to 1988, they studied Electrical Engineering Technology at The University of Toledo and earned a BEET degree.
