Robert Tibbitts

Robert Tibbitts has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Robert is currently working as a Corporate Counsel at Middough Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ICON Government and Public Health Solutions from 2018 to 2022, first as a Contracts Manager/Legal Counsel and later as a Contracts Manager. In this role, they focused on clinical research contracts and agreements, provided employment law advice to the Human Resources Department, and successfully negotiated numerous contracts, totaling over one billion dollars since January 2020. Robert also led the working group on the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Before their time at ICON, Robert was a Contracts Administrator at Clinical Research Management, Inc. from 2015 to 2018. Robert also worked as a Legal Associate at Special Counsel from 2005 to 2015, where they conducted complex document reviews and analyzed oil and gas leases.

Robert's earlier career includes roles such as Customer Service Specialist/Sales Representative at McMaster-Carr from 2011 to 2012, Attorney Editor/Independent Contractor at Thomson Reuters from 2008 to 2010, Associate Attorney at John Brooks Cameron and Associates from 2006 to 2008, and Associate Attorney at Hornecker Cowling Hassen & Heysell in 2005. Robert began their legal career as a Public Defender Law Clerk at Cuyahoga County Public Defenders Office from 2004 to 2005.

Additionally, Robert worked as a Judicial Law Clerk at the 6th Circuit U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio in 2002, where they researched and drafted legal memorandums and advocated for revised court instructions.

Robert Tibbitts holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology, completing it from 1998 to 2000. Robert obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology and History from Willamette University between 1994 and 1998. In addition to their academic background, Robert Tibbitts has obtained certifications as a Notary Public from the State of Ohio in February 2019 and as an Attorney from the Supreme Court of Ohio in May 2005.
