John Sowder

John Sowder is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in leading teams and developing innovative technology solutions. Currently serving as Executive Vice President at Midtronics since November 2013, John has played a pivotal role in leading the engineering team for the transportation division, focusing on battery management solutions and tools across international teams in the US, Netherlands, and China. Prior to this, John held key leadership positions at Nokia Siemens Networks, managing the development of enterprise access points and software solutions, and at Motorola, where John oversaw network quality assurance and contributed to software development. John holds an MBA in Finance from DePaul Driehaus College of Business, as well as both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
