Carl Epping

Carl Epping is an experienced professional in risk assessment, cyber security compliance, and network engineering. Currently serving as the Manager of Risk Assessment and Mitigation, CIP at Midwest Reliability Organization since February 2017, Epping has held various roles, including Principal Risk Assessment and Mitigation Engineer and CIP Compliance Engineer. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Systems Analyst at Great River Energy and as a Senior Consultant at Open Systems International, where responsibilities included implementing energy management systems and establishing security standards. Epping also held roles as Network Engineering Supervisor and Project Engineer at Open Systems International, along with a background in team leadership and training at Target. Epping began a career in technical support at the Institute for Social and Behavioral Research. Epping holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University, obtained between 2000 and 2004.
