Dr. Thorsten Westermann

Dr. Thorsten Westermann is the Director of Production for Small Domestic Appliances at Miele, where they focus on strategy, innovation, and transformation. Previously, they held various roles at Miele, including Head of Assembly BU Dishwashing and Head of Strategy and Business Development BU Dishwashing. Dr. Westermann has extensive experience in engineering and design from internships at BEUMER Group, BENTELER Group, and Lufthansa Technik, and they have held research positions at Fraunhofer IEM and Heinz Nixdorf Institut HNI. They earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, followed by a doctoral degree with summa cum laude honors from Universität Paderborn.
