Michael Breitstein

Michael Breitstein is the current Director of Finance at Mighty. Michael has over 9 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on venture debt and special situation credit. Prior to joining Mighty, they were a Principal at Family Office from January 2019 to December 2021. Before that, they were the VP, Head of Finance at Mighty from January 2017 to December 2019, where they raised and managed a $100mm+ venture facility. Michael also spent two years as an Investor at Aurelius Capital Management from January 2016 to December 2017, where they were part of a $4bn+ activist hedge fund focused on distressed credit. From January 2013 to December 2016, they were a Senior Associate at Melody Capital Partners, LP, a $1bn+ fund with private debt and private equity vehicles. Prior to that, they worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Rothschild & Co from January 2012 to December 2013, and at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from January 2011 to December 2012.

Michael Breitstein graduated with distinction from Cornell University.

Michael Breitstein reports to Joshua Schwadron, Founder & CEO. and Madison Unell - Manager Finance and Servicing reports to Michael Breitstein. They work with Bryce Eakin - Director of Data Science and Risk, Dylan Beynon - Co-founder & Chief Growth Officer, and Darlin Alberto - Director of Engineering.
