Tim Frick

Tim Frick is the founder and president of Mightybytes, a Chicago-based sustainability consultancy. Tim has over 25 years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of digital solutions for a variety of organizations.

Frick began their career as a multimedia designer/journalist for Ameritech (now AT&T). In this role, they created multimedia content for the company's website and designed and developed interactive applications. Tim also wrote articles for Ameritech's customer magazine.

In 1996, Frick co-founded Floating Code, LLC, a web development firm specializing in the design and development of custom web-based solutions. Tim served as a partner at the company until 1998.

Frick then transitioned to teaching, first as an adjunct instructor at Columbia College Chicago, where they taught interactive media production classes to junior and senior-level students. Tim also worked as a freelance instructor for Ascend Training, teaching various creative software products, processes, and technologies.

In 2009, Frick founded Mightybytes, Inc., a Chicago-based sustainability consultancy that helps organizations improve their environmental and social impact through digital solutions. Mightybytes offers services such as website design and development, digital strategy, and sustainability reporting. The company has worked with clients such as the City of Chicago, the Ad Council, and the World Wildlife Fund.

Tim Frick has a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia College Chicago in Film/Video and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Michigan State University in English and Film Studies. Tim also has certification from Gaia Education as a Certified Sustainability Designer and from HubSpot as a Growth-Driven Design.
