David Teece

Serial entrepreneur and return-driven investor Dr. David Teece co-founded and built several enterprises from the ground up, growing cumulative annual exit revenues to over $1 billion. He has served as executive chairman and co-founder of the Berkeley research group since 2010. Recognized as a leading authority globally on the management of innovation and business model design. He has also authored 200 books and articles on innovation and strategic management. While a part-time professor, he has over 180,000 google scholar citations to his publications and the management of intellectual capital. Dr. Teece was recognized by Accenture as one of the world’s top-50 business intellectuals in 2011, inducted into the thinkers50 hall of fame in 2020, and is one of the #1 most-cited scholars in management and business.

David earned a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He has received eight honorary PhDs; along with royal honors. He serves or has served as an r&d advisory board member at Saudi Aramco; strategy advisor at Intel; international advisory board member at the research center for technological innovation at Tsinghua University; and advisory board member at movac venture capital fund.
