Our mission is to inspire, educate and entertain people of all backgrounds, through a world-class programme of Indian Arts.

Values
Uniting Hearts Through Arts
Milap aims to bring people together to collaborate, share and integrate, through all of the programmes we create. This includes artists with audiences, students with teachers, artists with other artists – and all kinds of other people and organisations from diverse backgrounds and geographical areas. Uniting people is a first, crucial step towards improving the world around us.

Brave, adventurous & futuristic
Our approach to innovation, creativity and quality includes a commitment to take risks and think of how audiences, participants and artists might develop in the future. With a track record of invention, including national ensembles, new productions and a family of brands that is unparalleled in Indian arts, Milap intends to innovate in order to thrive in the future.

Indian Arts for Everyone
We believe that Indian arts are universal – our performance traditions tell stories, reflect seasons, moods and ideas, and use improvisation, composition and collaboration. Anyone can learn, appreciate or enjoy Indian arts, and it is our aim to bring people close to them through our programme of work.

A Company culture that values artists, audiences, team members, and partners
In order to deliver a programme of work that helps to change people’s lives for the better, Milap’s organisational values must also ensure that anyone working with or for it are inspired, uplifted and treated with respect. In order to deliver our mission and aims, we need to nurture an international network of artists, who are well trained, connected and have the opportunities to be successful. Education and training for everyone underpins this ideal.
