Mililab is an architecture studio based in Tokyo.

We design buildings, interiors, and — since 2019 — the furniture that lives inside them.

Our work begins with the room. We spend our days drawing floor plans, listening to how light moves through a window, how a corridor narrows before it opens, how a ceiling height changes the way a conversation sounds. The furniture comes last, and only because the room asked for it.

We are an international studio headquartered in Tokyo, with team members in China and Europe. Our practice is led by architects who trained at Kengo Kuma & Associates and other internationally recognised studios.

ENWA · 円和 (2026)
ENWA is our furniture collection — eight pieces cut from solid North American oak, resolved in continuous curvature. Designed by architects, made for the rooms we draw.

——

We design from the room, not from a style.
