Ellen Glad

Ellen Glad is the Optical Engineering Team Lead at Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company, where responsibilities have included leading optical engineering efforts since August 2019. Ellen's expertise extends to photography, with a focus on astrophotography, as demonstrated through Ellen Glad Photography, established in January 2016. Previous experience includes serving as a System Project Engineer at Cal Poly Prototype Vehicles Laboratory (PROVE Lab) and conducting optical imaging research at Lick Observatory, involving remote observations of Active Galactic Nuclei. Ellen has also interned at Skydio, contributing to the creation of technical narratives and public engagement activities. Additional roles include Project Engineer for a solar car initiative at PROVE Lab and optical imaging research at the California Polytechnic State University Observatory. Ellen holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
