Kyle Yang

Chief Engineer at Millennium Space Systems

Kyle Yang has a diverse and extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Kyle is currently working as the Chief Engineer at Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company since January 2021. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at SpaceX, where they held multiple roles including Principal Integration Engineer, Director of Mission Integration, and Mission Manager from 2012 to 2021. Before joining SpaceX, they served as Co-Chair for Technical Activities at AIAA's Los Angeles Section from 2009 to 2012. In addition, they worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a Field Site Leader from 2006 to 2012. Kyle also held positions at the Advanced Concepts Committee, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, and the United States Department of Defense. Kyle started their career in the aerospace industry as a Research Assistant at Aeronautics & Astronautics, MIT, from 1993 to 1996.

Kyle Yang has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University. Kyle also holds a Master of Science (SM) degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Additionally, they have obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Controls and Estimation, also from MIT.
