Ryan Lawrence

Chief Scientist at Millennium Space Systems

Ryan Lawrence has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ryan began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Chicago in 1996. In 1997, they joined the United States Army Reserve as a Military Intelligence Officer, and retired from this position in 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2002. From 2002 to 2013, they served as a Technical Staff member at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. In 2006, they also worked as an Intelligence Advisor with the 1st Infantry Division. Finally, they joined Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, in 2013. Here, they held multiple roles including Program Manager and Chief Scientist, with the latter role continuing to the present.

Ryan Lawrence completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics at the University of Chicago from 1993 to 1997. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the same institution. Later, Ryan pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1997 to 2002.
