Joseph Downes

Joseph Downes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Joseph started their career as a Laboratory Technician at All Rex Optical, where they were responsible for lab work on glass eyewear. Joseph then joined the United States Air Force, where they served as a Logistics Business Manager, handling transportation management and household goods movement.

After their military service, Joseph worked at Verizon, first as a Warehouse Manager and later as a Retail Store Manager. In these roles, they managed product sales, ensured sufficient stock, and oversaw shipment and distribution for a 10-state area.

Joseph then transitioned to Comcast as a Direct Sales Representative. Joseph provided exceptional customer service, promoted and sold TV, internet, IP, data, voice networking, and home security products to residential, apartment, and new build accounts. Joseph also handled marketing materials, worked community events, and assisted with service installation and troubleshooting.

Next, Joseph joined Drexel Interiors as a Retail Sales Manager/Project Manager. Joseph managed a team of 10 cabinet and flooring designers, set sales goals and company objectives, and provided training to expand product knowledge.

Joseph then worked at Brokering Solutions as a Territory Sales Manager, responsible for implementing marketing strategies and achieving sales objectives in the Indiana territory.

Prior to their current role, Joseph was an Outside Sales Business Development Manager at Millennium-, where they developed business from new and existing clients through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and trade shows. Joseph also focused on client development and increasing stakeholders.

Currently, Joseph works at Milliken & Company as a Territory Account Manager, covering Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. Joseph calls on current and new clients for residential flooring, showcasing Milliken's extensive line of durable products in carpet, rugs, LVT, and floor cleaning. Milliken is known for appealing to designers with its color patterns and durability.

Joseph Downes obtained their High School Diploma in Business from New Castle Chrysler High School from 1988 to 1991. Joseph then pursued further education at Northwestern University from 1992 to 1996, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. Their field of study at Northwestern was Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
