Melissa Johnson

Melissa was appointed as Finance Director in 2018, having previously joined the School as Head of Finance in 2013. Post qualification Melissa moved from practice to industry spending 9 years with a global FTSE 250 Plc in the aerospace & defense sector. Melissa’s role works alongside the Headmaster, supporting his strategic vision to take the school forward successfully. Melissa is also responsible for the effective leadership and management of the majority of support functions of the School. This extends to finance, operations, compliance (including health & safety and data management), the estate (including the building fabric, technology, and environmental impact), catering and commercial activities. Melissa is passionate about Millfield and loves the diverse mix of opportunities available to their students no matter what their background.
