Alex Thorpe

Alex Thorpe is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in social impact, sustainability, and political campaign management. Currently serving as the Director of Social Impact & Sustainability at Milliman, Alex leads the corporate sustainability reporting and the execution of the firm's net zero commitment. Previous roles include Director at Community Change, where Alex focused on civil rights and anti-poverty initiatives, and Advance Operations for the Biden for President campaign during its virtual presidential run. Alex has a strong background in consulting with Optum, where substantial financial accounts and CSR best practices were managed. Notable experiences also include representing the White House under President Obama, serving as a Special Assistant to Vice President Al Gore, and participating in significant events such as the Presidential Inaugural Committee for Obama. Alex holds an MBA in Management and Strategy from the University of Michigan and a BA from Denison University.
