Ling Chen

Ling Chen, FIA, FCAA, is a qualified actuary with over 20 years of experience in general insurance, specializing in reserving, pricing, data analytics, and financial reporting standards such as IFRS17 and IFRS9. They served as the Actuarial Workstream Leader at SBI General Insurance from 2008 to 2010, where they established the actuarial function and set up pricing and reserving guidelines. Chen also held senior roles at Deloitte Consulting, PwC Hong Kong and Mainland China, and IAG, where they contributed to data analytics, capital modeling, and business monitoring frameworks. They are currently a Director at Milliman, continuing to leverage their extensive expertise in the actuarial field. Chen earned a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Economics in Actuarial Science from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
