Safder Jaffer is the Managing Director, Principal, and Consulting Actuary at Milliman in Dubai, UAE, a position they have held since October 2009. Safder works extensively across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, providing services in product design, pricing, business planning, and strategic consulting. Prior to joining Milliman, they spent 11 years at Swiss Re, where they focused on the UK and Middle East markets, developing family Re-Takaful solutions and serving as a client manager. Safder holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from Heriot-Watt University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (UK). They actively contribute to the industry through presentations and research, including leading the project team for the first global Family Takaful Reports.
