William Hines

William Hines is a Consulting Actuary at Milliman since January 2001, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, mutual company reorganizations, alternative financing structures, and financial reporting issues, including embedded value calculations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Prior to this role, William served as a Senior Associate Actuary at John Hancock Life Insurance Company from June 1987 to December 2000, where management of a 16-person financial reporting unit was undertaken, overseeing US GAAP and Statutory reserves, income analysis, business planning, in-force profitability analysis, experience analysis, and dividend management. William holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, earned between 1983 and 1987.
