Steven Murphy

Steven Murphy is an experienced software testing professional with a strong background in quality assurance and automated testing across various roles. Currently serving as Principal SDET at Mimecast since April 2021, Steven develops and maintains automated tests for the Data Platform APIs, utilizing technologies such as Java, Python, and AWS within CI/CD pipelines. Prior to Mimecast, Steven held positions including Senior System Test Engineer at Micro Focus, where focus was on testing Enterprise Server solutions, along with similar roles in QA at LzLabs GmbH and Micro Focus, emphasizing the development of automated testing frameworks. Steven's career in software testing began in 2000 with a Unix Test Engineer role during an industrial placement at Merant, which later became Micro Focus. Steven holds a BSc in Software Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire and a BTEC National Diploma in Computer Studies.
