Tim de Rooij

Tim de Rooij has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. Tim began their career as a member of the EEMCS Promotion Team at the TU Delft in 2010. In 2013, they became a Board Member, Pub and Restaurant Manager at DSV Sint Jansbrug. In 2015, they took on the role of Developer and Teacher at Lyceo CodeLab/-Klas, where they taught and developed teaching material. In 2016, they became a Floor Manager and Host at Lijm & Cultuur, where they were responsible for catering, bartending, and managing events and festivals. In 2017, they completed a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics at Deltares, where they conducted research on Wavelet Analysis in the Field of Coastal Engineering. In 2018, they took on the role of Data Analyst at Simplxr. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Data Science Consultant at Valcon. Currently, they are a Data Scientist at Mind Foundry.

Tim de Rooij obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology between 2010 and 2015. Tim then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Mathematics from the same university between 2015 and 2017. Subsequently, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Science Education and Communication from Delft University of Technology between 2016 and 2018. Additionally, Tim de Rooij has obtained a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org in October 2018, a Databases and SQL for Data Science certification from Coursera in September 2018, a Verklaring Sociale Hygiëne certification from Stichting Vakbekwaamheid Horeca in September 2013, and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2020.
