Simon Samuels

Simon Samuels is an experienced compliance and fundraising professional with a robust background in compliance and data protection management within the charity sector. Currently serving as the Head of Compliance and Data Protection at Mind since May 2021, Simon oversees the compliance and data protection function, managing a team that includes a Data Protection Officer and data analysts. Prior roles include Compliance Manager at Barnardo's, where Simon developed data protection processes in response to GDPR, and Head of Income Generation at Earl Mountbatten Hospice, focusing on fundraising strategy. Additional experience spans leadership roles in fundraising at organizations such as UK Sailing Academy and YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, along with extensive managerial experience in banking and consultancy. Simon holds a Master of Arts in Law from the University of Cambridge and is currently pursuing a certificate in Legal Studies at the University of Oxford.
