Shane Willard

Shane Willard is the CEO of Mindfire Technology, a position they have held since 2012. Prior to that, they were the Chief Business Development Officer at CampusBookRentals from 2007 to 2012. Willard is credited with taking the company from a startup to a $35M+ business. Shane also conceptualized and built the bookstore service division of CampusBookRentals, which grew to nearly $10M in sales within 18 months.

Willard is known for their ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and for their dedication to mentoring managers and employees. Shane was instrumental in creating, editing, and negotiating contracts with universities, investors, lenders, affiliate partners, and others. Shane also played a key role in the development and design of stationary and mobile POS terminals.

Under Willard’s leadership, CampusBookRentals was recognized as one of “America’s Most Promising Companies” by Forbes Magazine. Shane also expanded the company’s college/university partnerships from zero to 187 stores.

Shane Willard graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. Shane also attended Roy High School. Shane is certified from the National Safety Council in Defensive Driving Course 4.
