William Hackett

William Hackett is a Founding Machine Learning Engineer at Mindgard since May 2022, where responsibilities include automating and scaling security testing and risk management for AI models. Prior to this role, William served as the Lead Academic Course Representative for fourth year MSci Computer Science students at Lancaster University Students' Union from October 2019 to June 2020, representing the interests of students in department meetings. Experience also includes a Programming Assistant internship at Gerotor Design Studio Ltd, where William translated software from Visual Basic to C#, and an API Developer role at Yordas Group focused on developing a RESTful API for a help desk ticketing system. Early work experience includes a part-time position as a Catering Assistant at Stonehenge Visitor Centre. William is pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at Lancaster University, expected to be completed in February 2025, following an MSci in Computer Science attained in 2020.
