MindLeaps uses dance to develop the cognitive skills and social-emotional learning of at-risk youth to ensure that they can succeed in school, enter the workplace and leap forward in life.

We use a data-driven, strategically designed dance curriculum created by professional dancers, psychologists, and educators with expertise in working with youth from vulnerable populations. The progress of our students is carefully tracked throughout the program with Tracker, MindLeaps’ mobile application and software system with real-time analytics.

The MindLeaps model expands beyond the core dance curriculum. Our permanent centers take a holistic approach by incorporating academic acceleration courses, and through partnerships, MindLeaps also embeds its curriculum in the workings of other organizations serving at-risk youth across the world.

To date, we have brought the power of dance to thousands of children and women across Rwanda, Guinea, Uganda, Mauritania, North Macedonia, and the U.S.

Education Coordination

The Dance Education and Training team at MindLeaps is responsible for delivering and enhancing the dance curriculum designed to develop cognitive skills and social-emotional learning in at-risk youth. Comprising certified trainers and educators with expertise in both dance and youth development, this team tailors instructional methods to foster creativity and personal growth while tracking student progress through data analytics. They also provide training and support to educators worldwide, ensuring the effective implementation of the MindLeaps model across various communities.

The International Relations and Coordination team at MindLeaps is responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with organizations and stakeholders globally to expand the reach of MindLeaps’ innovative dance-based programs. They coordinate the implementation of these programs in various countries, ensuring they are culturally relevant and effective for at-risk youth. Additionally, this team manages volunteer efforts and fosters international collaboration to enhance program delivery and improve outcomes for participants.
