Anna Barnacka has a wealth of professional experience. Anna began their career in 2007 as an Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager at R-DATA, where they were responsible for coordinating IT projects and managing the project office and helpdesk. From 2008 to 2009, they were a PhD student at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center, and at the CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives. In 2013, they joined the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics as a Research Associate, where they also led the Postdoc Council and was a VERITAS Fellow. That same year, they began working as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Jagiellonian University. In 2015, they were appointed a NASA Einstein Fellow at Harvard University. In 2018, they became a Teaching Assistant at Harvard Extension School and Chief Executive Officer at MindMics. Most recently, in 2020, they were appointed Chief Science Officer at Multiverse Concert Series.
Anna Barnacka has a diverse educational background. Anna obtained their Habilitation from Jagiellonian University in 2019 in the field of Astronomy and Astrophysics. In 2018, they completed a mini-MBA from Harvard Business School. From 2009-2013, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) in Physics and from 2010-2013, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center in Warsaw, Poland in Astronomy. Anna also obtained their Master's Degree from Akademia Pedagogiczna im. Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Krakowie in 2006-2008 in Physics with Computer Science and their Bachelor's Degree from Akademia Pedagogiczna im. Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Krakowie in 2003-2006 in Physics with Computer Science.
