Ralf Banisch

Ralf Banisch is a Senior Data Scientist at Mindpeak GmbH since April 2021, focusing on developing advanced Deep Learning models for Digital Pathology. Concurrently, Ralf serves as a Free Lance Lecturer at New York University, teaching the 'Mathematical Modelling' course from 2017 to 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Data Scientist at Canotic Inc and as a Senior Data Scientist at Codepan GmbH, where Ralf supervised a team of five and led pilot projects with Daimler AG and Deutsche Telekom. Additionally, Ralf held a position as a Senior Mathematician at Chegg Inc, contributing to a math app, and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Freie Universität Berlin, utilizing machine learning in Molecular Drug Design, as well as at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on molecular simulation projects. Ralf holds a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from Freie Universität Berlin and a Master's in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
