Debra Jasper is an experienced professional with a background in journalism, digital media, and leadership. Debra has held various roles throughout their career, beginning in 2000 as the Statehouse Bureau Chief/Investigative Reporter at The Cincinnati Enquirer. During their time there, they produced in-depth, award-winning investigative reports that led to new laws, state and national reforms, and numerous state audits. In 2004, they became the Director of the Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University, where they transformed the print investigative journalism fellowship program into a digital media program for journalists. In 2010, they founded and became the CEO of Mindset Digital and in 2020, they became a Board Member at Infocenter.
Debra Jasper attained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism from Eastern Kentucky University, followed by a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Journalism from The Ohio State University. Debra then went on to receive their Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership/Cultural Foundations and Technology from The Ohio State University. Additionally, they have a certification from Mindset Digital in Digital Media U (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, SEO, Mobile Marketing, Digital Advertisting).
