Genevieve Patterson

Genevieve Patterson is currently an advisor at MindStand Technologies. Prior to that, they were the head of applied research at VSCO from December 2020 to June 2022, where they worked on AI video editing, computational effects, and NFT marketplace. Patterson was also the Chief Technology and Science Officer at TRASH from July 2018 to December 2020, where they worked on predictive editing for video. Before that, they were a postdoc at Microsoft New England Research and Development Center from July 2016 to June 2018. Patterson completed their PhD in Computer Science at Brown University in 2016, with their thesis titled "Collective Insight: Crowd-driven Image Understanding".

Genevieve Patterson has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Brown University, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Tokyo, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mathematics from the University of Arizona.
