Tom Ray

Co-Founder at Mindstate Design Labs

Tom Ray is currently a co-founder at Mindstate Design Labs. Prior to this, they were a professor at the University of Oklahoma from 1998 until 2021. From August 1993 until August 1998, they were an Invited Researcher at Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International, working on artificial life. From August 1993 until August 2003, they were also an External Faculty Member at Santa Fe Institute. In 1993, they also worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank, developing educational software for Costa Rican elementary schools. From 1981 until 1998, Tom Ray was an Assistant & Associate Professor at the University of Delaware in the School of Life and Health Sciences, as well as Computer Science. In 1981 and 1982, they were also a Fellow at the Society of Fellows at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Finally, from 1978 until 1979, Tom Ray was the Station Manager at Organization for Tropical Studies.

Tom Ray earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from Harvard University. Tom also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Florida State University.
