Harry Bloom has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Harry'smost recent role is as a Senior iOS Engineer at Mindstone, which they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, they co-founded a company called Horizon - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle in 2022, where they built software to help customers live a waste-free life.
Before their entrepreneurial venture, Harry was the Head of Engineering at Wevat from 2017 to 2022. In this role, they successfully grew the engineering team, defined company goals and strategy, and implemented a "remote-first" approach to work. Harry also served as a Senior iOS Engineer at Wevat from 2017 to 2018, where they built the iOS app from the ground up and maintained mobile CI pipelines.
Earlier in their career, Harry worked as an iOS Developer at Deloitte Digital from 2015 to 2017, where they were involved in rebuilding the National Retail Bank's iPhone application and developing an investment portfolio dashboard for a private financial services company.
Prior to that, they held roles as a Mobile Software Engineer and Automation Test Analyst at Capgemini UK from 2013 to 2015, an Industrial Placement - Solutions Assistant at VocaLink from 2011 to 2012, an Engineering Trainee at Mertech Switchboards Ltd in 2010, and a Data Entry Clerk at ASUSTEK in 2008.
Harry Bloom began their education at The Cavendish School, where they obtained their GCSE degree between 2003 and 2007. Harry then attended The Hemel Hempstead School from 2007 to 2009, where they completed their A-Levels. Harry pursued further education at the University of Portsmouth from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computing. In terms of additional certifications, Harry obtained Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in December 2016. In January 2015, they also completed the Mobile Application Development with IBM Worklight Foundation course offered by Arrow ECS United Kingdom. Harry has also completed an Introduction to PHP and MySQL course provided by QA Ltd, as well as an Introduction to iOS Development course offered by Shiny Development Ltd.
