Don Tirea

VP of Strategic Accounts & Partnerships at MindTrust

Don Tirea started their work experience in 2011 as an Installation Coordinator at Concepts For Adaptive Learning. In 2015, they joined the University of Connecticut for a role in Venture Creation/Launch Research. In the same year, they also worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in their Management Trainee Program.

Starting from 2016, Don worked at Checkmate.Digital, first as a Project Manager (from March to June) and then as VP of Partnerships (from June 2016 to October 2019) until the company was acquired.

In 2017, Don co-founded and served as the CEO of DappDevs, a learning community focused on blockchain application development using Ethereum. During their tenure, Don played a key role in building the community and creating educational materials. Don also conducted technical workshops and partnered with institutions like Yale, UConn, and SCSU. Additionally, DappDevs was selected for initiatives such as joining the Connecticut Blockchain Working Group and receiving the Higher Ed Initiative Grant via CT Next.

Most recently, in 2019, Don joined MindTrust as the VP of Strategic Accounts & Partnerships. MindTrust is a platform that connects companies with top professionals in various fields. Don's role involves facilitating strategic accounts and partnerships and helping companies scale their digital teams effectively.

Don Tirea earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Connecticut, where they attended from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications. In June 2016, they completed the Facebook Blueprint - Growing Your Business (Advanced) certification from Facebook. In May 2016, they earned the Google Adwords Certified and Mobile Certified certifications from Google, Social Marketing Tools. In September 2016, they obtained the HubSpot Sales Software Certification from HubSpot.
