Mark Grossnickle has over 15 years of work experience in the gaming and XR industry. Mark is currently the Senior Vice President of Games and XR at MindTrust, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Games/XR at MindTrust from June 2019 to March 2020.
Before joining MindTrust, Mark worked at Taqtile from February 2016 to June 2019, where they served as a Team Lead. Mark oversaw all AR/VR projects for various platforms and worked with clients such as the PGA, thyssenkrupp, and AT&T.
Mark also worked as a Contract Unity Developer at Toptal from August 2015 to February 2016. During this time, they completed contracts including a serious game for Harvard University's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Prior to Toptal, they founded Kihon Games in February 2011 and served as the CEO and Co-Founder until January 2016. Mark raised over $2 million in funding and managed various aspects of the studio including production, financials, business development, and marketing.
Before starting their own company, Mark worked as a Game Developer at Sony Online Entertainment from June 2010 to January 2011. Mark also worked as a Senior Developer at The Basement - an integrated agency from April 2008 to June 2010.
Additionally, Mark has experience as an Adjunct Lecturer at Butler University in 2010, a Freelance Multi-Media Developer at ickydime from May 2005 to June 2008, a Systems Engineer at Simulex from May 2006 to April 2008, and an IT Intern at Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity from January 2005 to August 2005.
Mark Grossnickle attended Warsaw Community High School from 1997 to 2001, where they earned their high school degree. From 2001 to 2005, they then attended Butler University, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. In 2004, Mark had a study abroad experience at the University of Westminster.
