Russell Shilling, Ph.D., is a seasoned innovator with over 25 years of leadership at the intersection of psychology, technology, and education. Currently serving as a Senior Innovation Advisor at multiple organizations, including Kibeam Learning and MindTrust, they focus on harnessing emerging technologies to enhance learning and well-being. Previously, Shilling held influential roles at DARPA, the U.S. Department of Education, and the American Psychological Association, where they advanced critical initiatives in mental health and educational technology. A retired Navy Captain and Aerospace Experimental Psychologist, they have been instrumental in pioneering programs that integrate virtual reality therapy and game-based technologies for therapeutic and educational purposes. Shilling is also a committed advocate for autism, actively working to improve the lives of neurodivergent individuals through evidence-based innovation.
